    Very nice first quilt! Stitch in the ditch is good on a home machine and there are several video's to watch.

    I love your quilt and I think you did a wonderful job on your first quilt. Great colors you have chosen. Now I bet you are hooked on quilting! It is quite contagious.

    You did a fantastic job for any quilt, and this being your very first....well, it looks wonderful.

    You mentioned about spray basting being a "sticky mess" if you make a mistake. It really isn't. If you have to reposition anything, you just lift the fabric and then smooth it back down again. It's not sticky at all. Just so you know for future reference.

    Your quilt is gorgeous, especially for a first. Keep up the good work!

    As for your finished size, you will have a half an inch before binding.
