I got a jelly roll of Kona solids in New York City and had to have it. I fell in love with a pattern posted here a few weeks ago called Welcome Spring by Moda. This is not exactly a welcome to spring, but I did my adaptation of the pattern and this is what I came up with. My husband thought I was making a flag, so I called it: Flag for a New Country.

Is the first time I dare to do free hand feathers. I marked them and they didn't come out too bad.

One corner has a full wreath of feathers and all the rest are overlapping.

Very pretty and your feathers turned out great. It will be ages before I graduate beyond a simple meander.
