Default Finished quilt for a dear friend

The surprise quilt is now ready to be shipped to a very good friend. (She doesn't quilt so won't see this.) It is called "By the Seashore" but instead of 16" blocks, I used 12" paper-pieced blocks from Quilters' Cache. I quilted it using SITD and large, off-centered circles on my DM. It was fun to both make and quilt.

I likey! I really love your partially pieced border!
Did you mark your quilt for the circles? How did you do it?

Beautiful! It's Storm at Sea, isn't it? I love that pattern and your version is especially nice. Your friend will be thrilled.
