    Beautiful. Love it as I am sure your dil will also. tell me since it took 2 yrs, what date do you put on the quilt or do you put both dates?

    That's really a pretty quilt. And the design is just what I've been looking for. A friend of my family recently asked me to make him a quilt like his grandmother used to make. He wants it really heavy and big...king size. As for colors he said to make it scrappy with lots of colors. But mainly he just wants is to be really heavy.

    Your 64-patch QAYG will be perfect for him. I can manage the heaviness by putting in two layers of batting. And using the QAYG method will make it easier to manage such a large quilt.
