    I like this quilt very much and I think the bit of orange is great! I agree with how well the leaves and vines in the white pick up the pattern in the dark.
    It's shame you found the flange so difficult. Here is a tutorial for making the border with flange. I did it and it was so simple it was ridiculous. I think the flange adds so much to the quilt. Hope you enjoy.
