Since it is a gift to a 5 year old, it may be that she really loves it but being of the age she is can't express it to you because of the distance. I can't image a little girl not loving the purple with all the pink thoughout and the pink backing. Let your imagination conjure up her curling up under it every night and hugging it up under her chin. Don't let the ill manners of the parents ruin your enjoyment of giving.
