A scrub top is the shirt part of a uniform worn by most hospital employees that are involved in patient care. Originally scrubs (as they are called by those who wear them) were only worn by the staff of the surgery dept. and by the staff in obstetrics. The past few years have seen more and more personnel wearing this type of uniform.

Scrubs are what the girls wear in Doctor's offices and in hospitals. Loose fitting tops and pants or lab coats. They come in lots of fun prints and solids. I just sold all of the ones I had left.
