Pinwheel 20 squares, finished 7 inch squares. 160 pieces plus 4 shashing strips. 4 weeks machine piecing and quilted. overall size: 34 x 40
Grandmother's Garden hexigon. Top all hand pieced, floweretts 171 pieces, 28 fussy cut flower faces and companion swiss dot pieces, no count on joining pieces. 3 years to piece together, one week to quilt. over size: 39 x 44
Grandmother's Garden I cry each time I look at back. fabriic was "perfect size" but did not take in consideration that quilting makes the fabric "shrink" or reduce in width and length. I had to add materia PLUS the back fabric, altho no puckers did get twisted. 3 years to make top, one week to screw up the back. Whhaaaa. I cry.
So glad to have binding done, that was the hang nail. Hand quilting the Cathedrial window. wow .labor plus, the back lighting show why it is called cathedrial. the picture does not give the best show of the colorful display with almost shear areas.
