My mom made these embroidery blocks 23 years ago. She asked me to finish them in a quilt for my grandbaby. But being that these were so old I didnt think they would hold up to being tossed around by a youngin. So for moms birthday, a few days ago this is what she got. Most of the reproduction 30's fabric I purchased from another board member McQuilter. Thanks for sharing your scraps! One mans trash is another mans treasure!
Didnt want to give it away I love the bright 30's colors.

I'm glad your Mom is getting back her stitching! It would be too bad if the blocks were ruined by heavy infant use after all these years.
(Maybe Mom would add a note in her will leaving the quilt to the great-grandchild to enjoy later on. My MIL willed a king-sized quilt I made to DD.)
