Those log cabin blocks always surprize me..I can't get over how versiatile they are! That is a very different layout. Love you colors. I bet they love it in Iowa!

thanks all for the kind comments.
i, too love the log cabin and am always finding new ways to use it. it was the very first quilt i ever made, eleanor burns "log cabin and stars". at first i thought it was kind of a boring pattern, but the more i use it the more fascinated i become with this truley american block.
