Oooh! The RED one! I like the white, too, but the red just jumps out at you. They are very nice! Great job!

I like the white one best. The red one is too "jarring" for me - the red stands out so much that you lose the the many other great colors in the quilt. I believe if someone were asked to describe the two quilts they would say one was a scrap quilt but they would likely describe the other as a red quilt.

Hey Gem, I am soing a quilt called Hattie's Choice in the light blue a lime green and purple print, I think the colors are gorgeous together, The Hatties Choice is a geometrical delight. I might just try these color in another one. My DH has cut up a whole box full of different colored 2 1/3 inch blocks for me so before it is over I mayhave one of every color in the rainbow.

I meant 2 1/2. I'm sitting in the dark typing.

Thanks for all the nice compliments and helpful advice. I think lilac will tone it down a bit but I think I do prefer the white. I used red to draw out a lot of the red scraps. I love the 3D look of the boxes. This pattern will probably be used over and over.

    Can't decide. They're both nice.

White makes the scrappy look stand out. I like that! Any light color wil probably do that, so lilac would be a great choice for you next one. Please post pictures again when you finish quilting them!

Both are beautiful quilts but I do prefer the crisp clean look with the white, too.

White, they are both pretty but the red is too "in your face" for me.

I agree. Although I find the white one very refreshing. Thanks for sharing.
