    I'm not one to give advice on hand quilting (or machine quilting for that matter) but how about on the white crisscross pieces, to stitch 1/4 inch from the seam, echoing the seam in the shape of each piece. And then stitching in the ditch for the other block.

    I like both of them but I do think I like the white best as it seems to showcase all the fabric patches rather than just the X.

    they are both great.

    but if i had to choose i'd go with the red one, cos i'm a bright kinda gal.... :lol:

    I like both. Lavender will be a good next choice. Maybe blue for the fourth one.

    I like them both. Each one has it's own distinctive look. Great job! What a great scrappy quilt, where did you get the pattern?

    I'm with you...I love the crispness of white. But I do think lilac would be absolutely gorgeous!!! Purples are my favorite, so I may be a bit bias in that opinion! LOL

    I love them both, and since I'm in Arkansas, I can't decide! But that white one has just a little bit of an advantage with me. :) Beautiful work on them!
