With lilac, do you worry that the x's will get washed out? Depending on what colors are in the patch blocks, the whole quilt could end up looking pretty monochromatic. But maybe that's the idea?

I like the red one best. It makes the colors pop and it looks cuddlier.

I like them both , But the red one makes me see xoxoxoxox , it makes me think of valentines day or a special love one.
