    What a pretty quilt - love the colors. Being in Tennessee via Colorado (for 18 years) and knowing the weather there, I know your friend will use the quilt often - and think of you equally as often. And, ditto on not telling her what it was originally for. It was for her, that's all she needs to know and that's the truth.

    I quilted it on my regular sewing machine with a walking foot, quilt in the ditch. I didn't do very good on the quilting Since me and the other girl always seemed to be late, we said we would call it "Late as Usual" and say it's for moving to Colorado.

    It is a beautiful quilt so, yes, I think I would go ahead and give it to her. Who knows, maybe in 30 years you can tell her why you made it and you can both have a good laugh.
