Very nice quilt and since the intended person didn't know you was making it for her wedding she should really enjoy the warmth of it especially in CO. It looks like it was a lot of work so enjoy giving the quilt. Sue

That is a lovely quilt. Be sure it goes where it will be appreciated after all your labor. There is nothing wrong with making a hopechest quilt. I am working on one for my granddaughter, who is 10. A wedding quilt does not have to be completely preordained.

What a beautiful quilt. Your heart will tell you what to do with it. It is definitely a lovely Christmas gift and if the original person you were making it for is still close then perhaps that is why you finished it at just this time of year (smile); as a gift to her. After all, it is cold in CO (smile). thank you for sharing this beautiful creation.

What a beautiful log cabin. I guess it would depend on how close you have remained with your friend that moved. If you are still close, I would give it to her without ever telling her your original intent. You made it with thoughts of love for her...those thoughts are still there in the fabric.

that is beautiful, as far as she knows it is a quilt just recently finished, she doesn't need to know the original reason it was made, she will love it

Sounds like it's been long enough since the intended wedding not to be linked to it. I think quilts created by friends for another friend have a special energy and love that should be shared. It's a gorgeous quilt.

Beautiful quilt. I say keep it and make her something else. Never would want the "secret" to get back to her, it could be painful.

Perfect for Christmas, and personally I would hate to part with it. Whoever gets it will be thrilled.
