    Default Finished "Under the Sea" Fons & Porter. Quilting suggestions

    [ATTACH=CONFIG]322257[/ATTACH]i have finished the top for my oldest daughter's wedding quilt. any quilting suggestions? i normally handquilt however i might use my Featherweight to machine quilt this one since i need it done by august

    Maybe something to give movement to each of the monkey wrench blocks. A curvy patttern that goes from the center to the outer square of each color? Or fish? Had to add that because of the quilt name.

    did the catalog show the quilt with the quilting designs visible on it at all? They usually do and that always gives me ideas.

    Love the fabrics and design. How about outlining the design in each block. Whatever you select, it is lovely. Have fun at the wedding.

    Very pretty quilt top! For machine quilting, how about some wavy lines across the pieced part of the quilt, then some swirls in the border (like ocean waves).

    there was a quilting design with the pattern however it seems more appropriate for Longarm quilting. perhaps i can adapt it for DSM.
