Just clicked the link and it took me to an Amazon page about wine country not a Fons and Porter Tutorial. Just and FYI.

A walking foot has saved the day for me in putting the binding on. I just lay the binding on top of the quilt and let it sew. I don't pull at all. Both sides of your quilt are very nice indeed.

    Wow, that's gorgeous!!!
About binding- I was taught not to stretch it when applying to the quilt.
    You did a wonderful job!

What a beautiful quilt! I try to cut my binding on the lengthwise grain instead of the crosswise grain. The lengthwise strips don’t stretch at all.

Thank you all for the lovely compliments and advice on binding. I’ll try my walking foot next time. I held it straight and apparently pulled a little when applying. The quilter squared the quilt. My mom also offered not all squares may have been the exact size. It wasn’t noticeable when I gave it to the friend I made it for.

Neato! I have to check my copies of Fons and Porter. You've inspired me.
