    Never thought of using double knit. I always use a polyester type felt in mine. It's inexpensive, comes in 60 inch widths, gives good body, no fraying, easy to cut in any shape and washes well. Only thing to remember is to NOT dry in a HOT dryer.

    I like felt in my tote bags! It makes them stand up like soldiers.

    What a great idea for charity auctions! Just a hint for additional batting fabrics, flannel drapes well when used as batting, too.. Thanks for posting some of your runners for us to see!
