    Oh my! Those are beautiful. For machine stitching a binding I use the Martello system. Works well for me, but there is a learning curve and some folks really don't like it. once you get the hang of it, you end up with a stitch line along the edge of the binding on the back that is a consistent space from the edge sort of like what you might see on a commercial binding. No stitches show on the front.

    For quilts I want to enter in shows, I still attach the binding to the front by machine and hand stitch it to the back.
