    Why can't it go in the microwave? I thought that was the point, to be able to take a hot bowl out without a potholder or burning your fingers?

    These can be made to use in the microwave if you use 100% cotton material, batting and thread. Warm & natural/white are not all cotton. Be sure you do the quilting also with 100% cotton.
    I accidentally did quilting on one with poly thread and gave my DD instructions to not put that one in microwave. Better safe than sorry. genda

    My microwave is eye level and sometimes the bowl is to hot to get out of microwave. I think I will make one for my DDIL's

    there is a tute on here-by belmer. think you can search the tutes for microwave bowls

    I guess it can,,,I use mine for both,,,but mostly for ladeling hot soup or chili right out of the pot..

    I love your print Nice job. I made 50 for family and friends. Now I have more requested, Great fun. I used insul=bright and batting.
