I really, really love your quilt...colors, design...everything. I do have a question, though. You said to sew the right sides together....do you sew the completed figure to the dryer sheet? Or ???? I guess I am dense, but anything to make a chore easier is my cup of tea. Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Never mind giving instructions...I went to "Search" and put "dryer sheets" in the box and voila!!! I got all the info I need. This is a great place to find answers!

WOW! Awesome... there isn't a descriptive word good enough to describe your quilt, so, WOW! I love Sun Bonnet Sue and the fact you used a fan for her skirts...WOW! I love the colours and the overall effect!

Someone else asked this question and they went to google and typed in dryer sheets. Was able to see how it's done. I am going to go look myself and see what else I can learn. If you go google and still don't understand I will be gald to explain it to you. Have fun!

Absolutely gorgeous. who's it for? I'm available for adoption if need be!!! hehehehe. Great job. I've used dryer sheets for so many things I do with applique that I'm surprised someone hasn't put it on the market as a quilting tool or aid!

Great job! That turned out really VERY well, especially for your first applique! Wonderful color usage. Nice quilt...I'd sure take it! LOL!

How adorable. I like the happy colors you chose. For first applique it looks great and you should be most proud.

I think DH has claimed the quilt. He really likes it.
Don't let the dryer sheets idea get out to far. Or you will see it for sale in the quilt stores.

That is a great idea, I had never thought of that with the dryer sheets. Do they make your quilt smell wonderful too!? ;) I have used fusible webbing, the Eleanor Burns way, and that works well too. The quilt is beautiful, and I cannot believe it was your first attempt at applique! ;)
