wow, Melissa, I haven't even tried yet, but this is so encouraging. I'll have to take a break from the sewing one day, and start practicing. Don't want my 'practices' to be on quilts
    Yours look great!

You do the first feather, then to get the "top" part done, are you retracing to go BACK to get to the top or are you starting and stopping?

The only place you backtrack is over the top. When you look at her picture, you make the first feather, then swing up & back to the leftto meet the first feather then you back track over the top of the seconthen make your 3rd feather.
(The red is where you backtrack and then make the 3rd) After that you swing back upagain just like the 2nd featherand continue on in that manner. Did I make any sense for you?

Riley with your BEAUTIFUL hand quilting you dont need another mode of quilting!!!!!! Having said that, give this a try!!! I wont tell you it is easy because this has been a long time in coming for me but just tons of practice and then a ton more. It pays off in the end (I hope anyway)

Melissa your feathers are absolutely beautiful!!! The only thing I've ever done is stich in the ditch or diagonal stitching. Jackie must be a good tacher. Haven't checked out her tute yet.
