I started quilting 5 months ago, my mother promptly informed me REAL quilting is done by hand...someone told me next time she says that to say "and do you still use a slide rule too?" Haven't had the courage to say that. So yes, we quilt with a machine these days!
Beautiful quilt!

Homemade is one of them. Cooking from scratch. For instance, if I make homemade chicken n dumplings, I start with a can of chicken broth, grab some frozen chicken from the freezer (which is already skinless and boneless) boil it in the broth and make my dumplings from Bisquick.
My Grandmother would go out in the back yard, grab a chicken, wring it's neck, pluck it, boil it in salted water, then she would debone it. Grab some flour and whatever other ingredients are needed to make the dumplings.
My son would go to the frozen section of the grocery store, buy a frozen chicken n dumpling dinner and pop it in the microwave and since he punched the buttons on the microwave, it's homemade to him.
