    Default First Feather Border

I tried to do a straight feather border in this thin space and it looked not very nice. I also had trouble with the tension, so I switched to the thread I had used for the rest of the quilt, a variegated Sulky and looked through some samples that I had made at a Patsy Thompson clinic.
I came upon this one...only doing feathers on one side, and thought it might work out in this skinny border.
After awhile they started to look more like Paisleys, so I'll have to work on that....But, I think it turned out OK for a first try.

I think it looks good, and I like the teardrop shapes you added inside the feather shape.

They look great especially since it is the first time you have done them. Feathers are not my friend I don't put them in my quilts unless they are apart of a pantograph.

Wonderful job. Glad you rectified the thread/tension issue.
