Default First finish of the year

This is the mystery BOM that I did with my LQS. First time I have used 1930's fabrics, which I really like, but not in love with the quilt overall. The sashing doesn't contrast enough with the blocks in my opinion. I am just way too "matchy" and it seems super random to me. Thanks for looking :-)

I know what you mean about wanting things to match. 1930s often don't have much contrast. Your quilt is very pretty and even if you don't keep it there is someone who will love it!

As I love 1930's fabric I think your quilt is wonderful. Enjoy the warmth it will provide. Luann

You over-achiever! First quilt of the year already done!

It's a pretty quilt, nice job.

I've made a few quilts I wasn't in love with when they were done, too, so you are not the only one who has experienced that. But eventually the quilt will find it's one true 'beholder', the person who will behold all the beauty and love in it and want it for their very own!

It's usually quilts you like the least that someone will look at, fall in love with and be absolutely stunned that you would be willing to let it go. I like the colors and you incorporated a nice sampling of blocks.

Very pretty. Really like your choice of the blue and the yellow border. Great job
