    I'm sorry if this isn't quilting related...
    Tell me what you guys think.... should I get rid of it... I think I made a few mistakes, but it seemed pretty easy otherwise...

    I believe it is a good first effort, hand embroidery like any skill needs to be practiced. What are you trying to do with it? (make wall hanging, use to enhance quilt or another purpose).

    You might try a small pre-printed piece for practice. This might help you regulate your stitch size.

    I would never suggest tossing it, as it is your first completed piece and it will be fun to see in a few years as a testiment to your improvement.

    Make sure that you knot well (and double check seams) so that baby cannot pull the stitches out when they play with them. I am sure the baby will enjoy them.

    In my opinion, your need a fabric hoop to make the fabric tight and maybe not so much thread!

    I have one, not sure where it is though... it's a VERY small wooden one
