Cathy is a great friend! She has an HQ16. She goes south after Christmas for about 4 months and has told me that I can use it while she is gone. But that makes me a bit nervous. I would rather use it while she is there. But how many friends will offer the use of something that expensive - I just don't ever want her to feel like I took advantage of her because I value her friendship more than the machine! And yes, I have thought about getting one myself. Using hers for a bit may help me make that decision one way or another.

:) I have a friend like that...she invited me to use her longarm, I went and quilted a small top...loved it and ended up with her "old" mid-arm!! :) (Thanks Dee!! )

You did a great job on that quilt for your DH...isn't it fun? :)

Very nice! I love the fabric. I need something like that for DS. Good job on your first quilting escapade. I'm sure you'll do well, judging by this one.

You did a great job! I need to cultivate a friend with a longarm machine who is willing to teach me!
