Default First quilt just off new longarm frame!

We have had our machine for several months, but today we stayed at home in our PJ's all day and I worked on quilting this. I had some tension issues in the first 3 or 4 rows, but finally got it near perfect. I also improved in following the panto.

The top was good for practice because we bought it at an estate sale and had no specific plan for it. I will leave the mistakes in it and bind it in a few days. It will probably live in the sewing room for Emmaline to cuddle with or in one of our cars for picnics or emergencies.

I used Connecting Threads essential top and bobbin. The panto is from urbanelementz.com. BTW, they are about to finish a 25% off everything sale. I don't know what the batting is; it was leftovers from other project. I think it is Quilter's Dream. The machine is a Babylock Crown Jewel II on Momentum frame.

    Thanks for looking.

    Much better near the end

Looks like something my grandmother would have done. She didn't have enough turquoise so she used two different fabrics. She even pieced one of the polka dot squares.

I think that your quilt will be well used. Happy you had a fun day playing, it had to feel good to figure your tension issues out

You did really really well. It is not easy getting the tension right.

I just love that. The fabric really makes it warm my heart. Love the quilting and great if this is your first pano. Thanks for sharing.
