    I would maybe do straight stitching diagonally across the quilt at spaced intervals, and the diagonally the opposite way, to make large cross-hatches. Offsets the vertical/horizontal of your scrappy blocks. Hope I'm making sense lol
    Exactly my thought! You can use any type of masking tape to guide your stitches and keep the lines an equal distance apart.

    Looks great!! you could do a wavy stitch along the diagonal both directions.
