    Default first quilt top

This is my first quilt top and I think it would look better with a border. The problem I'm having is what width and color would look best? I also don't know what color backing to use. The jelly roll is by Moda but I can't remember the collection name.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

You did good! Looks like you had fun making it. You could use almost any color as your border. What is your favorite color? Same for backing ... any color is possible but if you can't decide use white or off-white.

personally, I like black on multicolor quilts. it gives it grounding and it doesn't show dirt. came out nice. on the back, I like prints, again doesn't show some spilled icecream and such.

Strip quilts are fun! Yours has so many pretty colors. I love it. I was thinking like Mary said, cream, if you wanted a border.

I think it would be nice with a cream border on the inside and a darker border on the outside pick you favorite color in the quilt, the darker outside border will make your favorite color stand out.

If you do what Debbiemarie says about a cream border on the inside and a darker border on the outside, I would make the cream border at least 1/2 the size of the outside border, Looks good

Awesome first quilt! I agree with Lynnie - dark looks best.
