Default First row done, thanks to all.

First of all I want to thank everyone who helped with advice on how to go about making my cross stitch panels into a quilt and wanted to show you the first row of blocks. I've backed them with cotton and used a pre-shrunk cotton batting. I've started to hand quilt them and must say I'm impressed with how it's going. I couldn't have done it without all your help and encouragement. It's a bit creased from being folded/ Thank you.

Your floral cross stitch are so beautiful! I appreciate the time and hard work that it takes to finish just one of those lovely panels - how many more rows are you putting together?

Another 3 rows to go, the whole thing will sit nicely on top of the bed. I have the next set of panels sitting on the banister to fully dry after being washed and ironed. Susie, you have helped with the beautiful monster in the photo, luckily mine is fast asleep next to me .

Those are beautiful. I love cross stitch but can't go it anymore. My pieces were never as intricate as yours.
