Too funny! For some bizarre reason the ONLY bad word she says is s**t ... She's almost 14 years old and has has PLENTY of opportunities to pick up the others ... and yet she doesn't! She does like to fly around yelling NO NO NO NO when I get frustrated LOL ... and then she laughs at me!

Everyone else: thanks so much for your kind words ... I guess we are truly harder on ourselves ... because I see EVERY single mistake and it frustrates me. I still don't know how to make feathers, leaves, etc so they actually look like feathers and leaves!

I've read / watched and heard that it's all about practice ... just how much tho???

Hope everyone has a wonderful day,

    Marion

Great job, especially for your first time. No stitches that you could catch a toe in and a nice consistently spaced pattern.

Marion -- great job! See you only had to have a challenge and you are on your way to successful FMQ!!! This is the 1st time you've done this, so why would you think you should be able to do feathers and leaves? Just keep practicing and add those other skills as you go. You will feel so much freedom in quilting now that you've expanded your skills!!

I don't know if I would call it fun yet LOL ... one of the things I struggled with (and it's only a table runner LOL) was the weight of it quilt / getting caught on the quilting table and it would "stop" my quilt from moving ... Very frustrating!
