The swirl pattern gives wonderful movement to your quilt.

The quilt is lovely and the quilting on it is very nice too. I love the calming colors.

I have to ask...How did you find your LA quilter? Did you meet in person, or did you ship the quilt off? I tried a LA quilter a few years ago and the experience turned out horribly. She missed our appointment twice, was several months late in finishing the quilt (a birthday gift for my MIL,) then was so rude and condensending during the process that I never went back. I've been FMQing ever since, but I find it's getting harder for me to do. I'd like to find someone new to do that part.

Everything about it is lovely: fabrics, pattern, your piecing and the quilting. Love it. Perfect for a guy.

My friend had seen this lady's quilting at a yearly event here in town. So she hired her to do a quilt and it turned out so nice! When my arm was so sore and then after the surgery, I decided to hire the lady to quilt the topper I had made for a male friend. I was very pleased! This lady (lives in a small town in Alberta, Canada) has a mail service, too - you can ship your quilt topper etc. with free shipping and she returns it finished with free shipping (long armer pays for the shipping). I think it's very important to see examples of someone's quilting before hiring them. Every quilt is so different but you get a good idea of the quality of the quilting before hiring them.

Your quilt is wonderful and the quilting is a perfect accompaniment to your pattern.

Yes sometimes we have to allow ourselves the easy way of doing things. I also had a big quilt long armed this summer as I was dealing with some things, usually I quilt them on my DSM. Beautiful quilt by the way.
