Hi there, I am a new member and have so enjoyed, reading your posts and pics. I have decided to add one of my own...

This is a queen size quilt, domestic machine quilted, and some hand quilting, machine and hand applique, the applique is from a sulky pattern. This quilt is for my dentist, and former employer, who is doing some dental work for me pro bono (free)... this is a surprize he does not know he is recieving it... he is an avid sportsman... hope he likes it...

That is one neat quilt! Did you design it yourself? What method of applique did you use? Sorry so many questions, but I wish I had the skill to do something so very special!

What a work of art. Your husband must be a fly fisherman?

Neat quilt. On another note, I have that same piece of furniture in your picture. It belonged to my husband when he was a boy. Used to hold all his fly tying stuff ;-)

thank you for all the kind replys... it is raw edge fused applique with satin stitiching. I did the applique panels first and then connected all the supporting pieces...I have been quilting for about 2 years, and so addicted... I can quilt all day and all night... what a wonderful hobby...
