Much love and thought.
Thanks Callie...this quilt has been claimed by my DH who is terminally ill. I originally planned to make him a lap quilt but he requested a full size for when he becomes bed ridden downstairs, I have kept him involved all they way through,he chose the final layout and chose the border design too, bless him :)

Thanks GrammaGayle...I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your DH at 60 to this awful disease, John is just 63. You know more than most how heartbreaking it is to see him get progressively worse.... BUT we try and keep upbeat and make the most of each day although somedays (today wasn't a good day,he was very emotional ) ) it's hard to keep cheerful, so you see, quilting is my therapy and while he is resting/sleeping I get some 'time out' to sew ...
Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments, you have no idea how much it means to me to hear how much you all like this quilt

Scrappy, truly scrappy quilts seem to be my favorite. I think it is because of the love of my granny's farm in North Carolina. The quilts were so warm and cozy. Yep I love your scrappy, makes the sofa bed even more inviting.

I have only added borders to the sides and bottom as this will be used on our sofa bed it measures 87" square, I'm gonna have fun quilting/wrestling this one through my DSM !!! :D :D :D
For all of you out there that hasn't bitten the bullet and gone totally scrappy, get cutting up your scraps and join in the fun!
Thanks again, Grammy Dywnn for starting your scrap quilts topic, I don't think I would have been brave enough to do this without all the inspirational quilts posted, so thanks everyone

My DH was also named Jon (spelling different). And quilting helped me get thru. And I'm SO PLEASED that I made the compliment on your great quilt much earlier before I knew about your DH or you would have just thought I was playing up to you. I DO love your quilt. I know that I'm thinking of you BOTH.
