    Default Fish Kaleidoscope

I've had this fish fabric on my shelf for years, just waiting for a project. So, I layered up 8 pieces and started cutting. I designed a pattern that I used to make plastic templates. Then, I worked on it at the once a month sew along at the Singer Sewing Center. Finally decided to just finish it and go on to next! My new favorite thing to add is the virgin fabric on the backing. I used a stipple type stencil to quilt on the background only, not on the main fabric. And the binding is the fish fabric also!

The kaleidoscope pattern works so well with this or any aquatic fabric as it reminds me of colorful sea anemones. Just delightful.

Great quilt! The fact that you used stash fabric is awesome. Just goes to show you that eventually the fabric we hold onto finds just the right use.

Great quilt! I couldn't see fish at all until I saw the backing!
