Fisrt time making the Quilter's Wallet...

Gosh this was fun picking out the fabrics and making. I am very happy with the way it turned out. Hubby wants to give it to a customer at his work that carries her checkbook loose in her purse. LOL! Well ok I said. Then he said I want one too. Men aren't they something? I think his will be in brown batiks.

When you lift the center pocket there is the place for a register and the check book

Here it is closed from the back and the pattern

Sorry I was slow getting the last pic up. I bought the pattern from a gal on the board in the buy sell section. I sure am going to make more of these. I will change the velcro length and placement though and put it sideways. It wants to yawn a little.

Red, the first one I made I said the same thing about the closure but....... when you get all your stuff (if you get to keep one!) in it, it doesn't "yawn". my second one would barely close after I got it stuffed! and a tip, the magnetic snap is NOT a good idea, it makes a big lump right under the check writing area, everytime I write a check I have to kick myself so I'll remember not to do it again.
BTW, NICE wallet!

Ahh ... you girls are so sweet! I love showing my work here on the board. :~)
dakotamaid and quiltlovr,
Thanks so much! I have to slow way down to topstitch and many times I use a heat disapearing marker to make the lines before stitching and a top stitching needle helps too.
Maybe this will help you a little next time.
