Flannel quilt for my son

I used warm and natural batting. And the back is flannel also. It’s a medium bright blue and was all I could find when I was looking. I wanted a wide back so I didn’t have to piece it and thought my long arm quilter would appreciate that also since I’m sure she ended up with a lot of lint from the flannel.

Thank you! I started out with large squares and found out I didn’t have enough large pieces so sized down the outer part. Thank goodness for graph paper and a calculator to figure out those frames. Isn’t it amazing what ends up in the stash! I don’t even remember buying that cabin panel.

And, thank you everyone for the kind words. Starting something from scratch, its a little intimidating to put it out there in public view. My son has seen it and loves it. I told him he can’t have it until it goes in the local quilt show this fall.

It had the large center picture, 4 middle size that I used in the corner of the quilt and 8 small size that I added to each side. Hope this picture helps you see that center panel better @JanetLynne.
