    i can never believe that someone's family sold theirs. it's almost amoral. but i know that since i have no grandchildren that will probably happen to mine, unless my children donate them somewhere. i have a beautiful hand crochet bedspread, never completed, from dh aunt, that we mean to donate to a local museum with a fine-quality textile collection.

    so you really lucked out !!

    I have got to start going to garage sales and flea markets with you people. I never find anything when I go.

    I would have snatched that quilt right up, too, Eddie. I can't believe you got it for $40. Must have been someone who knew little about quilts.
