Jan, I've not really decided on the type of quilting yet, but it will probably be something along the lines of swirls or ribbons & swirls to match the background fabric. Are you quilting on your home machine or a longarm? I quilt on the longarm & her needles are much larger & can handle bulkiness a little better than your domestic machine can. However, I don't get up tight to those points because of the bulk. I do get up pretty close though. I'm thinking ribbons in the points with a curl on the slender end. I'll do some auditioning on plexiglass when I get it loaded to see what comes out looking good.

I LOVE your quilt! If I can do that after watching her class, I am going to watch her class right away. I've always had a fondness for them since 1992 when I made that first one. Thanks for sharing! It's a very beautiful quilt!!! Thanks for the kick in the pants, also!
You're welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing yours!

The one in the back I've decided to name "Bursts of colors". As you can tell, it's a work in progress. It's also paper pieced. Got the idea from a fellow guild member, but of course, mines different! I used the papers from Judy Niemeyer's Desert Sky pattern & just copied them on my copy machine on Carol Doak's paper. (It's pretty cheap, 100 sheets for $10) I like the idea of the circles, but am going to do a 10-minute block in the intersection where it's wide open. I'm just going to use a charm square to do that & roll the edge cathedral window style. I'm also going to bring that idea out into the border to tie it all together. Might add some more element to that border as well, but not sure what yet. I have a tendency to design as I go. I get the initial idea & work it out from there to see what fits til I'm happy with the end result. Or rather it says "I'm done!"

Good job. I did stitch in the ditch on my most recent one. It made each point pop. then I meandered the background.

As soon as you put it on your machine, your creative juices will start and it will be quilted innovatively in no time.

That is a beautiful quilt, but it's Peggy Martin, not Judy Martin. They are both fantastic quilters. I really like that vivid pink in your quilt.
