    Default Floral NY Beauty

I took the class on Craftsy for Strip piece paper piecing by Judy Martin. This is the NY Beauty pattern from the class. It's still a flimsy at this point, but I'll have it quilted before too long, just haven't decided what design I'm going to do yet!

They are both beautiful! I like the one in the background a lot too.

Cindy, that's beautiful as are the blocks behind it. NYB is next on my "to do" list. Question: how do you quilt them? Is there a way to do it without breaking needles on all the layers of fabric in the narrow points? Please post a pic after it's quilted--I can't wait to see it.

It came out great. I've never seen one with calico prints before.

That's beautiful! I have her book on Mariners Compass. I'm going to try that once - perhaps this summer. I have a big, big quilt to finish before that!

In 1992 I took a class for NY Beauties and made one only. I signed up for the same Craftsy class you did and watched part of it, but wasn't ready to make the NY Beauties yet.

I LOVE your quilt! If I can do that after watching her class, I am going to watch her class right away. I've always had a fondness for them since 1992 when I made that first one. Thanks for sharing! It's a very beautiful quilt!!! Thanks for the kick in the pants, also!
