    I agree with Tartan. The peach sets it all off, but a brown quilting thread would really pull it together.

    I think it is very pretty and I like the colors. I would also use brown thread to quilt it. I mostly always use high loft polyester batting, warmth without the weight. There are many battings on the market and everyone has their favorite.

    For a first quilt top you picked one that I would have found really challenging for me. lol. I like the color combination. It would also look great in bright batiks! I always use Heirloom Cotton Batting because I like the drape of it. I like that it is "thinner" and it's easier for me to quilt on my home machine.
