Default Fly Away Home - Done!

My quilt is all ready to bring to the Billings Farm Exhibition in Woodstock VT. It's inspired by the 2012 Vermont Shop Hop dragonfly fabric. It is the first time I have machine quilted a large quilt, and it's done on my HQ Sweet Sixteen. I wanted the wool batting to be puffy and open, so it's not too heavily quilted. I started with stitch-in-the-ditch, then sort of doodle quilted the rest. Quilt police, put away your badges, because I know I'm guilty of many transgressions, but I am very happy with my fabrics, my design, and I enjoyed every minute of the process from graph paper to stitching on the hanging channel. When it comes home in September, it will be the first quilt I've made to go on our bed.
