flying Home
Yesterday or the day before someone posted a request for color ideas on this quilt. Our guild used it as an opportunity quilt in 2006. Since I don't see the original posting, I am doing this here. The actual colors were brighter and more into the red range.

This project, more than any other convinced many of my guild sisters of the need for precision. (and the need to buy a little extra, just in case.) The quilt was almost completed when our wonderful, dynamic, leader died suddenly. It was found about 3 years later and completed.

I am the person who asked for people to post their "Flying Home" quilts, so I thank you so much for doing this.
I was reading the directions in the book yesterday and thought how far we have come in the quilting world. I didn't look at the publish date, but this must have been published in the 70's or 80's. It's amazing how differently we do blocks now. It will be fine to re-plan the pattern so make things the "new" way.
One question, though...do you thing these geese could be done using the paper piecing method?
