Nobody told me that it was impossible until after I had quilted about a dozen quilts from twin to king sized on my home machine. It's much easier now that I have a Janome 6600, which has much tighter control than the Bernina I stasrted with and also lock stitches, pulls the thread to the back and cuts it. That's not to mention the greater depth, which is why I went with Janome in the first place.
Wow, I'm impressed. King size even! Your Janome 6600 sounds very nice with some great features.

I love the quilt, the colors and the pattern. And it looks to me like you did pretty doggone good on the quilting. I would never have attempted to quilt a queen size quilt.

Shirley, I know exactly how you felt trying to FMQ the center. I tried to quilt a , one size fits all quilted snuggie, in my Brother XR7700 Brother with a 5" throat space. I believe I may have invented ,some new words in the process, of quilting it. I can say your flower medallions look marvenous compared to mine and I wouldn't be ashamed to show your queen quilt at all. I love the colors and I agree with your DH. Enjoy it for years to come. :-D :-D :-D
