    lawson, the design is poorhouse design. Grandma Mary, I put the Peltex with the adhesive side TOWARD the slit and then I did exactly as you said. But the stick part is kind of "bubbly" and didn't close it when brought together as neatly as I would have liked. No, I didn't use Wonder Under on the wrong side of the back. Believe me, I have tension and the back looks very nice. It is the spot under the applique that I am disenchanted with. Next time, I will proceed as I mentioned and hope for better results. And point the fussy cut toward the corners. Duh!!

    I'm sorry your fussy cut didn't work out for you. I put the adhesive side of the Peltex on the "back" fabric, because when I tired a sample with 2-sided adhesive so the cut side would also adhere, it turned out really wrinkled. That's when I decided to use single sided, and add the Heat n Bond to the wrong side of the cut fabric. Good luck and be sure to share your next one!
