    I love it too...pls tell us how you did it....
    I decoupaged it with fabric scraps (yeah, got rid of some of them!). Did 2 more coats of Modge Podge after the first coat, sanded lightly between coats. Sprayed with a fixative.
    It's still rough but is OK for decoration.
