Folded Starburst Tote bag for my Mom
This took me a couple of weeks to fold, press, starch and press again. I lost count of how many of those triangles I had to make. Or how many times I burnt the tips of my fingers.
A few of the seams showed in the design, hence all the little butterfly beads. The outside is a light blue denim, the inside is a blue tonal. And the star fabric is jelly roll from Joann's.
The pattern is from Sew Daily Shop:

Mom travels via the train back to Michigan several times a year. I thought she might like something to carry her crossword and search in find puzzle books in. I added the pockets inside myself, they weren't part of the original pattern.
You can't see it though but I quilted a design on the back, sides and bottom to hold the padding in place.

I have made several, as well as a few purses. My next purse is going to be my concealed carry one. So many pieces, but it should be a fun project.
And thanks so much for the compliment.
