    I also wonder if you searched for the family and found them. What a great gift those letters would be.

    I suggest you proceed with caution. You never know what can of worms you may be opening. If this mom gets a letter from her son informing her he is in Nam after he is already there suggests a perhaps strained relationship. She may however appreciate the letters back if she is still alive. The machine is very nice. I'm envious of your find.
