Is there a last name? I do genealogy research, and have usually been pretty successful in finding people. I'm always hoping that there are snippets of my family history out there that someone will come across and then track me down! lol. Please keep us posted on this one!

What a treasure finding the machine, and the letters are so touching. I can imagine a mother reading these letters with the tears flowing. Let us know if and when you locate the owners of the letters.

I have never seen a white Singer before its beautiful. The price was great with the cabinet also? WOW. I also am a genealogist and would be itching to locate a family member of the clipping. Try Social security death benefit with the name. Go to census on Rootsweb and see if you can locate this family and the list goes on. Check out Cynda's List put it in Google as I might have spelled it wrong. They have free data bases you can check out.
